Project Objective
The vision behind Rajputana was ambitious—to create the first fully CGI-driven high-end music video blending tradition, culture, and modern artistry. The goal was to deliver not just a video, but a cinematic experience that showcased royalty, grandeur, and a futuristic take on Gujarati music culture.
Pre-Production
Concept Development: Designed to merge heritage with modern aesthetics, creating something bold, royal, and globally appealing.
Storyboarding & Planning: Each sequence was mapped out with clear camera movements, CGI requirements, and sound sync points.
Crew Assignments:
Studio Team: Handled cinematography, lighting setup, arranging the green screen studio with accurate lighting balance, placing tracking markers, makeup, and on-set production.
My Role (Jigar Prajapati): I took full responsibility for CGI, VFX, concept design, and complete post-production pipeline—from 3D environment creation to compositing and final editing.
Music Production: Original trap-inspired composition with cultural elements, aligned to international standards.
Production
Green Screen Shoot:
Actors performed in a controlled green studio setup.
Direction was focused on matching trending trap/hip-hop energy with international-level visual quality.
Shots were planned with precise lighting references to fit later CGI environments.
Post-Production
This stage carried the heaviest creative and technical workload:
CGI Scene Creation:
A grand fort gate symbolizing Rajputana pride.
CGI Lamborghini cars to bring modern trap energy.
A cave with a throne for royal and powerful imagery.
A detailed statue of Maharana Pratap as a tribute to heritage.
FX elements like fire, smoke, and flamethrowers to intensify cinematic impact.
Tracking & Keying:
Solved multiple challenges with green screen edge cleanups and camera motion tracking through R&D and refined workflows.
Integration & Compositing:
Blended live-action with CGI environments for a seamless, film-like look.
Added multiple passes of lighting, reflections, and shadow renders for realism.
Music Sync & Sound Design:
Edited visuals tightly to original trap-inspired soundtrack.
Enhanced scenes with cinematic sound FX for fire, metal, and crowd depth.
Color Grading & DI:
A bold, high-contrast grade gave the video a premium cinematic feel.
Balanced earthy cultural tones with modern trap aesthetics.
Final Render & Delivery
Rendered at high resolution with optimized pipelines.
Delivered a grand, film-like CGI music video—a first of its kind in the Gujarati industry.
Released through a major music label.
Key Takeaways
Rajputana was ahead of its time—a futuristic CGI song blending traditional culture with modern trap visuals.
Because of its unique vision, it did not immediately reach the masses in the Gujarati/village music industry.
However, in the future, people will look back, respect, and be amazed at how this project set benchmarks before its time.
