Project Objective

To create a stylized, cinematic CGI commercial that highlights the importance of engine oil in vehicle performance. The aim was to blend humor, action, and storytelling to deliver a memorable message: “No matter the machine’s age, true strength comes from the oil that powers it.”

1. Concept & Ideation

The narrative was built around a generational contrast—two young boys in a stylish sports car mock an old man at a red light for driving an outdated vehicle. The old man confidently replies, “Old is gold and unbeatable.”
The tension leads to a high-energy race where the boys’ car overheats, while the old man’s car runs smoothly, proving that performance depends on engine oil, not age.

2. CGI Production

  • Designed semi-realistic characters and vehicles for a balance between cinematic style and budget efficiency.

  • Developed a traffic junction environment and dynamic chase sequence with stylized action shots, including engine roars, tire screeches, and overheating smoke effects.
